Veraval and Junagadh are the closest railway stations, with regular trains connecting to major cities in Gujarat. By road, Gir is accessible from Junagadh (60 km) and Veraval (40 km). Well-maintained highways connect these cities to Ahmedabad and other major towns in Gujarat. Additionally, this is the time when the park is open for visitors, as the monsoon season (June to September) leads to temporary closure due to heavy rainfall.
